Ruth graduated from Simonds Regional High School in 1961. She worked at Irving Oil until she chose to stay home and raise her family. When Carl started his own business she worked by his side supporting him in the office for over 40 years.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother (Nana). Family always came first for Ruth, she especially loved spending time with her five grandchildren and was very proud of all their accomplishments. Ruth was a lovely baker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends in the community. She was a talented knitter and was especially known for her baby sets, socks and mitts. Ruth and Carl enjoyed their many trips, cruises and time camping in the trailer.
Ruth had a strong faith which began as a child at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Upham, later at All Saints Loch Lomond, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and more recently a member of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church. Her church community was important to her and her faith a central part of her life and reflective of the way she lived.
