Obituary of Russell Thomas Dagenais
Russell Arthur Dagenais
February 20, 1992 – June 14, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that Russell’s family announce his sudden passing on June 14, 2020 in Lloydminster, SK at the age of 28 years. Russell is survived by his daughter Josie, his parents Robin (Gerry) Lampow of Lloydminster, his father, Art Dagenais Jr. (Michelle) of Lloydminster, his brother Nicholas of Lloydminster, Josie’s mother Alyx Hind of Paradise Hill, SK., his maternal grandparents Don and Sylvia Sheppard of Saskatoon, SK., his paternal grandparents Art Dagenais Sr. (Germaine) of Nipawin, SK., Benneatta Teskey of Creston, B.C. and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Russell was born in Nipawin, SK., moving with his parents and brother to Lloydminster in 2000. He received most of his education there and graduated from Lloydminster Comprehensive High School. He was a truck driver by profession, a job he enjoyed very much. He had his own concrete flooring business for a few years in Lloydminster. Russell loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and quadding with his family and in particular, hunting and playing guitar with his dad. He was quite talented, playing guitar by ear. He wrote some of his own songs and music as well. He loved to fix things and wasn’t afraid to try to fix anything. He also loved to cook and bake. Russell was in and out of rehab many times struggling with drug addiction for about 6 years; a struggle that he desperately fought to overcome. Unfortunately, on June 14, 2020 he lost that struggle. He will be fondly remembered, always loved and dearly missed by his family and friends. A Private Family Service will be held in Lloydminster.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Russell
