In loving memory of Russell (Russ) Earl Jewell, 82, of Falconbridge, Ontario, who passed away on June 29th, 2020.
Russ was born on November 14th, 1937, in Falconbridge, Ontario. He was a scholar, attending Ridley College in his high school years and later earned a degree in Business from Ryerson University. While attending Ryerson, he played both varsity football and hockey earning him a spot in the Ryerson Hall of Fame in 2009. Russ was a determined, dedicated, and accomplished business owner who took great pride in his work. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Though he was married to his work for 57 years, he will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Marlene Jewell (nee Venturi). Loving father of David Jewell (Sheri-Lee), Mary Jewell (Vincent), and Jennifer Macdonald (Peter). Cherished Poppa of Tessa Jewell, Tori Falcioni (Adam), Haley Macdonald, Amy Godin, Hayden Macdonald, and Emma Godin. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Edith (Cryderman) Jewell and siblings John and Cathy Jewell. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, many friends, and employees.
At Russ’ request, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the St. John’s Cemetery, Garson. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. For donations and messages of condolence, www.lougheed.org.
