Russell Hawkins
1934-2020
Hawkins, Russell
William
Passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Fox Ridge Care
Centre in Brantford at the age of 86 years. Russell was the
beloved husband of Gladys (nee Cox) for over 63 years. Proud
and loving father of Donna (Stuart), Doug (Vicki), Suzanne (Bill) and
John (Carla). Cherished grandfather of Garret, Ryan
(Jessica), Jill, Meghan (Matt), Nicole, Theresa, Kirk (Rachel) and
Joseph and great grandfather of Gavin, Grayson, Jace, Russell, Cole,
Callie and Owen. Brother-in-law to Marian on Lonely Island and
predeceased by his parents Russell and Lily; brothers Doug and
Norm.
Born and raised in Guelph, Russell spent his entire working
life there as well. He was a dedicated salesman and small business
owner and worked tirelessly to provide the very best for his family.
After a long and prosperous career in sales, he and Gladys retired and
built their dream home in Wiarton before moving back to Saint George.
Along with woodworking, Russell loved to garden and to feed and watch
the birds in his spare time. He will be remembered as a kind, patient,
generous soul, with a great sense of humour and an easy
smile.
Memorial contributions to Parkinson Canada would be
appreciated. At Russell’s request, there will be no
services. His cremated remains will be scattered at Woodlawn Memorial
Park. Arrangements entrusted to

  1. My fond memories of Uncle Russ were of him having a great sense of humour, always greeted us with a smile. He was such a gentle kind spirited man. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with wonderful, Aunt Gladys, Doug and Vicki, Donna and Stew, Suzanne and Bill and John and Carla, and all of their extended families.
    Thinking of you,
    Love Lisa
