Russel Lawson Mullin
It is with heavy hearts the
family of Russel Lawson Mullin announces his passing on Tuesday,
February 25, 2020. He was born in Minto, N.B., on February 11, 1924,
to Percy and Jennifer (Fairweather)
Mullin.
He is survived by his
children: Daryl (Susan), Sandra (Allison), and Rick (Peggy), 12
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Betty Mullin
(Moncton) and Margaret Mullin (Ontario), many nieces and
nephews.
Dad was a WWII veteran, having
been in the First Canadian Armoured Brigade from 1941-1946. Upon
returning, he was employed at Gordon Wilson’s Grocery and
later an Imperial Oil distributor. He took a carpentry course at the
Technical School (now the Community College). Afterwards he spent time
in house construction before retiring. Retirement involved reading
western novels, watching westerns on TV, gardening, and
golfing.
Dad was predeceased by his
wife of 71 years, Annie (Horsman), their daughter and her husband,
Wendy and Bob Hayward, and his siblings: Ralph (Margaret), Lilus
(Russell), Hilda (Walter), Joan (Joseph), James, and
Luther.
Visitation at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) will be on
Friday, March 13th from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 14th at 10:30 a.m., officiated
by Rev. Jerry Horsman. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre
following the service. Interment will follow at the Fair Haven
Memorial Gardens.

Veterans Health Centre for their excellent
care.
