Obituary
It is with sadness the family of Roy Michael Plotzki announce his passing on October 28, 2020 at the Rosetown & District Health Centre at the age of 87 years.
Roy was born in Colonsay, SK on January 16, 1933 to John and Leocadia (née Breckner) Plotzki. He married Ann Boechler and they had three children, Greg, Jayson and Jocelyn. In 1965, he worked at the weigh scale at Lloydminister, in 1967 he transferred to the Borden weigh scale and in 1971, made Rosetown home where he was the driver examiner for 26 years, retiring in 1997. Roy remained in Rosetown until moving to Saskatoon in 2009 and then returned to Rosetown in 2015 where he lived at Orange Memories until his passing.
Roy was an avid sports fan, enjoying baseball, hockey, curling and CFL football. He was firm but fair in his approach to life and he loved his family. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, serving in many capacities within the organization.
Roy is survived by his children Greg (Sherrie) Plotzki, Jayson (Nancy) Plotzki and Jocelyn (Brian) Keith; grandchildren Joleen (Joel) Hanthorn, Spencer Plotzki and Dawson Keith; great-grandchildren Axel and Audi Hanthorn as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Anne Plotzki, his brother Emil Plotzki and sisters Rose Perozak and Annadola Pine.
A private family graveside committal will be held at the Rosetown Cemetery.
