ROY – Frank W.K., 84, of Southwest Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor, Liverpool on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
Born in Southwest Port Mouton, Frank was a son of the late Weldon Lorimer and Lula (Fisher) Roy.
Frank worked as a fisherman all his life spending 35 years on the Roland and Sisters. He loved old country music and dancing, always dressed to a “T” in one of his favourite suits. Frank and Rhoda never had any children, but had a love for animals and had a dog named “Skippy” and a cat called “Lucky” who were their world. Frank and Rhoda loved to go hunting together and always proud to show off their prized catches and loved to go to church on Sunday.
Frank is survived by his wife Rhoda of Middlefield, his sister Claudia Patterson of Liverpool and his brother Lloyd (Judy) of Port Mouton.
Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sisters Martha, Eunice, Caroline Smith and Joan Hansen as well as his brothers Ernest, Carmen and Lorimer.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Burial will be in Southwest Port Mouton Community Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, please be advised that masks are requested to be worm when entering the funeral chapel, hand sanitizer must be used and physical distancing must be maintained while in attendance.
