Ross Potter 1934 2020

Obituary of Ross Potter
Ross passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Lee Manor in Owen Sound on December 10, 2020. Born on August 20, 1934, Rosswill Thomas Potter of Owen Sound, was in his 87th year.
Beloved husband for 63 years of Lillian (née Canning) Potter. Loving dad of Carl Potter, Lynda McFaul (Frank Entwisle), and daughter-in-law Allyson Potter, all of Owen Sound. Cherished grandpa of Max Potter (Lisa), Merrill Rosenow, Alexis Brick (Mark), and great grandpa of Annie, Mitchel, Ellie, Logan, and Benjamin.
Predeceased by his son Kenn Potter, and by his parents Orville and Irene (née Cook) Potter.
Ross had many passions in life. He was a member of the Blue Grass Club, Race Director at the Sauble Speedway, he loved motorcycles and taught how to ride them at Georgian College, and he also loved water skiing. Ross could do it all! Construction, renos and small engine repair to name a few.
A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. A public celebration of Ross’ life will be held at a later date when we can gather in a safe setting. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation, Cancer Society or the charity of choice would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. Online condolences can be sent by visiting Ross’ memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca
