Rosemary Goodale
January 28, 1936 – June 26, 2020
Rosemary (Wright) Goodale was a youthful 84 years old when she passed suddenly on June 26, 2020. Dearly loved and missed by many including her husband Donald, daughters Jamie (Madill) Gamble & Kip, Jackie (Madill) Fair & Jamie, and son Jon Madill & Jodi. Devoted sister and friend to Dorothy Murison and Ronald Wright. Predeceased by brother Bob Wright. Rosemary was an engaged and loving Nanny to Samantha, Baylie, Drew, Cassidy, Casey and Codi, a wonderful Great Nanny to Henry, Sophia, Benny, Paige and Piper. Aunt to Laurie, Dow, Bryon, Michael, Robin, Jenny, Robert and their families. Step mom to Paul, Jenny, Bill, Cathy, Don, Kim and spouses and predeceased by Karen Goodale; Step Nanny to Max, Cody, Tara, Casey, Celeste, Jalen, Malia, Sarah Jane, Kevin, Hunter and Anita, and Great Step Nanny to Lylah, Cheyenne and Jesse. She was blessed with a large and loving family which she cherished.
Rosemary lived on the Lakeshore in Oakville the majority of her life and loved the town she called home. The Canadian Tire store in Oakville was her favorite work place by far where she made many lifelong friends; a second family. After retirement Rosemary spent her summers at the cottage in Combermere where she loved the outdoors and her winters in Homosassa Springs Florida with many friends and no snow. Rosemary was a lover of all things natural. She spent countless hours watching the animal life around her with dogs, cats, humming birds and rabbits her favorites.
Rosemary loved generously and was kind and compassionate with a touch of spunk. Her laugh was contagious. She had a smile that would melt your heart and make you feel wonderful. While she was always honest, even if you didn’t want to hear it, the message was always gentle. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
