ROSE VINA GLADYS 2020

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Vina Gladys Rose (nee White) announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Strait of Belle Isle Health Center surrounded by her loving family. After a life time battle with heart disease at the age of 69 she left her earthly life for her heavenly home. Vina’s true love was her family. She devoted her day to her own family in Flower’s Cove, and on most evenings, she drove to Sandy Cove to visit her family there. Her family brought her endless joy and happiness, and made her very proud. Vina was an incredibly warm and welcoming person who loved to entertain. She was the perfect hostess and made it look easy. Her home was open to everyone and she would make sure you left with a fully belly, a smile on your face and good memories too. Vina is survived by her loving husband Wallace , devoted daughter Candice, son in law, Trevor and precious grandchildren Chloe and Caylee who were the light of her life, sister Evelyn (Eldred), Brother Maitland (Christine), Niece Paulette, Nephew Kerry (Nancy) & great Nephew Blake, sisters-in-law & brothers in law, extended family & a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her parents Stephen & Mary Jane White, brother Gayden and parents in law Joseph & Evelyn Rose. Due to Covid 19 government restrictions, a private family service will be held at the United Church in Flowers Cove on Tuesday, August 18,2020 with Rev. John McGonigle officiating. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the heart & stroke foundation.
