Rose Emily Pollett
June 9, 1934 – October 28, 2020
Passed away suddenly and entered into peaceful heavenly rest surrounded by her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital October 28, 2020, Rose Emily Pollett of New Harbour (formerly of Whiteway), aged 86 years.
Predeceased by husband, Bramwell Pollett (October 2010); sons, Wade (1980) and John (1989); mother, Emily Burgess and step-dad, Jesse Burgess; father, John Alfred Dicks (died tragically at sea, 1935); special son-in-law, Carson Smith; and three infant granddaughters, Laura, Megan, and Natasha.
Left to mourn with heavy hearts and thanksgiving are her 5 sons and 5 daughters, Dorman (Cindy), Corwin (Carol), Wilmore (friend Eileen),Willis, Phillip (Kelly), Rosalyn (Rick) Coombs, Brenda, Carolyn, Hilda (John) Lewis, Cindy (Robert) Janes; a legacy of 34 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Skinner (St. John’s), step-brother, Clyde (Lorraine) Burgess of New Harbour; special daughter-in-law, Janice Pollett; and of course her fur baby, Patches.She will be forever missed by special friends, Nita Harnum, Mary Woodman, Cecily Pretty, Phyllis Williams, and Janie Pollett (resident of Shag Rock Manor); as well as a large circle of relatives, friends and her Home League sisters of the Salvation Army T.B.S. Corps.
With heartfelt thanks from the family she was forever grateful to have Youlanda Harnum, Pauline Higdon, and Murray White as care givers and they will certainly miss her dearly.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, the visitation and service to celebrate Rose’s life will be private.
