Ronald Ronnie MacLean 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Todd MacLean, age 75, on October 29, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Ronnie was born in Saint John NB, on October 28, 1945, the son of Seeley and Madolyn (Todd) MacLean.
He is survived by his brother and life-long friend, Alvin, of Whites Cove as well as cousins and his many neighbours, friends and acquaintances whose lives he deeply touched and impacted. Unofficially, but commonly referred to as the ‘Mayor of Whites Cove’, Ronnie was proud of his community, referring to it as ‘the land of milk and honey’.
There will be no visitation due to Covid-19 restrictions. Feel free to visit Alvin at his home in the days and weeks ahead, respecting the pandemic guidelines.
A graveside celebration of life will be held at the Jemseg Community Cemetery, on Sunday Nov 1st at 1pm with Pastor Chris Price officiating. Feel free to bring a chair.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Jemseg Baptist Church, Jemseg Cemetery Ltd, Jemseg Lions Club or Green Hill Lake Camp would be appreciated.
Ronnie was committed to doing what was right. To honor this and to protect everyone from Covid-19, meeting the guidelines of Public Health, please wear a mask and respect social distancing.
Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca

  1. I woke the morning of Ronnie’s death wanting to go after work to visit him after I got off work at the hospital. But learning from my sister that morning; Laureen, that he had passed away..
It brought me to tears . Just missing seeing him and that I had missed seeing him before he passed away.
I thought of all the Christmas dinners that we shared at Laureen and John’s and his fun way he had and really feeling sad for his brother; Alvin..
