Ronald Gillespie January 17 1956 April 16 2020

Ronald’s Obituary
Passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Ronald “Ron” Edward Gillespie of Holland Centre in his 65th year.
Loving father of Tracy Nietvelt – Prentice (Ryan) of Berkeley, and Jennifer McQuaid (the late Andrew) of Markdale. Loving step-father of Robyn and Aaron. Cherished grandfather of Daniel & Andrew Nietvelt-Prentice, Ashley & Logan Hunking and Kaitlyn McQuaid. Dear brother of Ken Gillespie (Anne) of Elora. Ron will be remembered by his relatives, extended family and many friends in the community. Predeceased by sisters Marion Summers and Anna Haines, his brother Sidney Lepard, and parents Fred & Reta Lepard (Foster/Gillespie).
Ron loved his community and was like a brother and father to many people. He believed that if you can help someone, you should. He believed in buying local and supporting small family businesses. Ron worked very hard to keep people safe during this pandemic. Please connect and show love and support for each other from your homes. He was a hugger but we all need to be safe for now.
If desired, the family appreciates donations to assist with funeral expenses and anything above that will be divided equally between his 5 grandchildren. Ashley, Logan, Kaitlyn, Daniel and Andrew were Ron’s world and greatest joy. For details, contact Tracy at 519-373-9550 or email chinatracygillespie@hotmail.com.
A private graveside service will be held in Markdale Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be arranged through May Funeral Home, 63 Main St. East, Markdale, ON N0C 1H0 (519-986-3310) www.mayfh.ca.
