Ronald Bruce Wareing
1930 – 2020
Bruce was born at Rockwood Manitoba July 4, 1930.
He was predeceased by his wife Anna Celmira Wareing, his Father; Harry Wareing,Mother; Winnifred Wareing, Brother; Charles Richard Wareing and Sister Doris Bircham.
Bruce is survived by his son Robert Wareing and his wife Milda; two granddaughters and one grandson; his two brothers Harry Wareing of Drumheller Ab and Robert
Wareing and Sandra Wareing of Winnipeg Man. He is also survived by many nieces,nephews and extended family in Canada, Columbia S.A and U.S.A.
Bruce was raised in Winnipeg, and Gunton,Manitoba.
Bruce in his early years worked for C.N.R telegraphs in the 1940’s. In 1948 he joined the Canadian Army; did his basic training at CFB Burden. At that time he was a member of the Royal Canadian Armour Corp. Then he transferred to CalgaryAlberta becoming a member of the Lord Strathcona Horse R.C. In 1951 he volunteered for the war in Korea. While he was there he saw a great deal of heavy fighting; one of the worst was Hill 355 Oct 1952. During the time he was there he would receive Christmas packages from his mother. In these packages there were always mincemeat tarts. This was his favorite. Bruce was given a nickname: Mother because he would always make tea to share with other members of his tank crew. An officer and another crew member had told Bruce’s parents this.
On his return to Canada one of his first jobs was at a lumber yard. Eventually he got a job with debt of National defense at Fort Osborne Barracks. During this time he got Married to Angela Toupin of St Boniface.They had a house built between Stony Mountain and Stonewall Mb. Then they had his only son Robert. Later Bruce got a job with Dept. of Supply and Services Canada as a supplymanager. He then joined the Canadian Army Reserve at Minto Armories eventually attaining the rank of Captain. Sadly his first marriage was dissolved.
In 1975 he got married to; Anna Celmira Bejarano Jimenez of Bogota Colombia. They were married for 45 years.
Bruce left Supply and Services and then went to Corrections Canada as a supply manager for western Canada. Bruce retired from the Government in 1987. He and Celmira then moved to Bogota, Colombia S.A. Not being satisfied with retirement he then took a job with the Canadian Embassy in Bogota Colombia as a Security Manager. He later changed jobs and worked for Comcel Telecommunications in Bogota. He often visited Canada during this time. Returning to Canada about 2013, took his son Robert to Korea to revisit as a guest of the South Korean Govt.
Bruce’s wife Anna passed away on June 9, 2020 followed by Bruce June10,2020. Bruce and his wife Celmira will be fondly and sadly missed and remembered by all that knew them.

Cemetery, Balmoral MB. Next to his Father Harry Wareing.
