Ronald Allen (Ron) Oakley
1946-2020
Ron Oakley of Moncton passed away on June 23, 2020 at the
Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the
Late Thomas and Minnie (Purdy) Oakley. He retired from
Canada Post after a 36 year career. Ron was a member of the
Masonic Lodge Zetland Chapter Lodge No. 24 F&AM, the OES
Zetland Lodge No. 26 as well as the Harrisville United
Church.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Faye; children; Bonnie
Beers, Wendy Oakley, Bill Oakley, Tom Oakley; sister, Amy Keddy,
grandchildren Scott, Alex (Jolaine), Katie, Ben (Brittany); great
grandson Logan and several nieces and nephews. Besides his
parents he was predeceased by a brother Jim and a granddaughter

Ron spent many years enjoying bowling, darts yet his
cherished times were on the water with a fishing rod in
hand. However it was moments spent with his family and the
joy he had watching his grandchildren grow.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be a private family
service at The Harrisville United Church on June 27, 2020. The
interment will take place at the Lakeside Cemetery.
Donations made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or the Lottie

choice would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
