Obituary of Roger Ross Tilley
It was with great sadness that the family of Roger Ross Tilley announce his passing at St. Clair’s Hospital in St. John’s at the age of 67 years. He retired from Molson Brewies in 2013.
Roger was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His passion was playing guitar and singing karoake with family and friends. He also loved to spend time at his cabin at West Bottom.
He was predeceased by his parents: Myrtle and Nelson Tilley; brothers: Bruce and Max. He leaves to mourn his wife Margaret (Jewer) Tilley after 47 years of marriage; son Todd (Jill) Tilley in Rainbow Lake, AB; daughter, Tonya (Aaron) Head in Halifax, NS; also his precious five grandchildren: Megan, Miranda and Jordan in Alberta; Chloe and Lexi in Halifax. He also leaves his sisters: Margaret Sheppard, GFW, Edna Wareham, Omeme, ON; brothers David Tilley and Junior Bailey of GFW.
Following COVID regulations visitation will take place for family and friends on Monday, December 14 from 2-4. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Central NL Hospital, Health Science and St. Clair’s for their wonderful care given to Roger. Also to Virginia Pennell and Terry Tremblett for their hospitality to Margaret during her six week stay in St. John’s.
