Obituary of Roger Martin
MARTIN, Roger
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Martin, Thursday March 26, 2020 at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend of Virginia for 58 years. Loving dad to Carrie (Tony) Craig, Kelly (Mike) Albanese, Melissa (Tony) Hozjan and Michael (Donna) Martin. Cherished Papa to Jacob & Marie, Danielle & Brad, Emily, Courtney, Nathan and Tyler, who will all miss his sense of humour and Papa jokes! Loving brother to Lorainne Conlon. Predeceased by his parents Estelle and Albert Martin, Ernest Tourville.
After many years of service, Roger retired from General Motors to enjoy travelling, golfing, spending time at the cottage, winters in the Florida sunshine, and treasured time with friends and family. He was a grateful friend of Bill W. He enjoyed life and gave cheerfully!
Unfortunately, we are once again touched by cancer, as Roger was predeceased by his loving daughter Kelly, who he is now reunited with. As a family we request that donations, in lieu of food and flowers, be made to the Rankin Cancer Run – Kelly’s Believers.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Due to the challenges we are facing with social distancing we will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
