Obituary of Rob Schnurr
Robert Lloyd “Rob” Schnurr of Mildmay, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday February 4th, 2020, at age 51.
Beloved husband of Sheila Arnold.
Proud father of Jordan Schnurr (Sarah Lindblad), Brett Schnurr (Ashley Ernst), Caleb Schnurr (Mycalie Derbyshire) and Connor Schnurr.
Cherished son of Lorraine Schnurr (née Beitz) of Mildmay and the late Lloyd Schnurr.
Missed by his siblings, Bonnie Thompson (Dennis) of Cargill, Marlene Kupferschmidt (Brent) of Mildmay, Mark Schnurr (Tammy) of Walkerton, Kim Metcalfe (Creg) of Elmira and his four-legged companion Toby.
Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Tammy Hickling (Cameron) of R. R. #4 Hanover and brother-in-law Michael Arnold of Olds, Alberta, father-in law Gerald Arnold of Mildmay and several nieces and nephews.
Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, friends and former co-workers.
Predeceased by his mother-in-law Joan Arnold.
Rob gave freely of his time to the Mildmay Agricultural Society, Mildmay and South Bruce Minor Hockey Associations and Mildmay Soccer.
Visitation will take place at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex on Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The memorial service to honour Rob’s life will be conducted from the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex on Friday February 7th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., with Ann Maycock officiating.
Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce – South Hospice or Schnurr Family Education Fund would be appreciated by the family.
