Obituary of Robert James Tinline
It is with sadness that we share our loss. Robert James (Bob) Tinline died on July 18, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Bob had eighty-eight years of passion for life and tom foolery with his family and friends. Son of the late Albert Tinline and Frances (Gordon) Tinline. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Clanahan) Tinline for 64 years. Sadly missed by daughter Sandra Lozon and husband Murray; son Ryan Tinline and wife Ruth. Fun loving Grandpa/Grumpa/Gramps to Cullen Tinline (Stacy), Adam Lozon (Rachel), Lauren Mackichan (Gerald), Cassie Lozon (Mike), great granddaughter Charlie Tinline. Greatly missed by his faithful companion “Jane”.
Bob played baseball and hockey in his younger years and was a master bowler. He also coached baseball, hockey and bowling. He was an avid fan of Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and Lions. Forester for Ontario Hydro for 30 years and a volunteer firefighter for his hometown of Highgate. He enjoyed a healthy early retirement and spent years working on his handicap at Indian Creek Golf Club. Bob was a charter member of SPCC and actively volunteered there for many years. The last of a great generation of Tinlines.
A private family funeral service will be held with his interment at Gosnell Cemetery in Highgate. If desired you may contribute to his memory with a donation to Chatham-Kent Hospice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Robert
