Roberta E. Bass
1934 – 2020
Roberta Edna Bass of Miramichi passed away at the Losier Hall, Shannex on November 20, 2020, at the age of 86.
Born in Chatham, on January 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Jennison and Anna (Lobban) Bremner. She was an employee of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home for many years. A member of St. Andrew’s United Church and was part of the U.C.W., Session, Choir, Elder, CGIT Leader, and a life member of Branch # 10 Royal Canadian Legion Auxillary. She loved to volunteer with the Miramichi Folksong Festival, Miramichi Tourism, and received a volunteering award from the City of Miramichi.
Roberta is survived by her one daughter, Melanie of Miramichi; two sons: Hudson (Theresa) and Derrick (Lori Anne) all of Saint John; five grandchildren and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.
By request, there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church with Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church, Riverside Cemetery, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
