Lavigne, Robert William (Bill):
Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on December 12, 2020 in Waterloo, Ontario at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of Sophie.
Loving father of Steve Lavigne, Rob Lavigne, and Maureen (Jim) Suffak.
Proud Popa to Kristen and Mark Suffak.
Dear brother to the late Nancy Ertel (Ron), Judy (Dan) Kroetsch and Jan (Jay) Hoshooley. Brother-in-law to Steve (Suzette) Mazur. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Fondly remembered by his life-long pal and “booosom buddy” Tom Moser “Uncle Tom” (the late Sonia) and their children.
Thank you to everyone for your support. Bill’s final years and days were made brighter and easier with you there.
Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral mass will be held at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church on Thursday December 17, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Guests must RSVP to attend the visitation and service. Masks are mandatory. For those who are unable to attend the service will also be available on livestream at
www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming Private cremation to take place following the service with interment at Williamsburg Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hopespring Cancer Support Centre or the Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
