It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Robert Paul Wapple announce his passing in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at the age of 32 years. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his father, Kevin Wapple of Medicine Hat; mother, Heather Ann Wapple of Lethbridge; sister, Nicole of Calgary; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his cat, Macaroni. Robert was predeceased by his grandmother, Mary MacFarlane and grandfather, Mel Wapple; aunt, Wendy Lipinski and his uncle, Boyd Wapple. Robert was born in Medicine Hat on November 7, 1987. This is where he grew up and attended Webster Niblock, CHHS and Medicine Hat College. In his younger years, Robert played youth soccer, baseball, hockey and golf and continued to play golf as an adult. He had a variety of interests and a keen mind in which he was constantly seeking knowledge. Robert held a 3rd class power engineer certificate and had completed 3 of 6 requirements for second class certification. He held various positions as an apprentice electrician, maintenance in healthcare and in the family business. Previous to his passing he was working as a power engineer. Robert had numerous traits that he will be remembered for including being funny, sarcastic, caring, kind, gentle, smart, loving, wonderful and adventurous. He will be forever remembered! A private family service was held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel with Murray Jaster officiating. Memorial donations in Robert’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 204 – 1865 Dunmore Road S.E., Medicine Hat, AB., T1A 1Z8 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 119 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB., T2N 1Z6.
