Obituary
With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Papa, Son, Brother and Uncle, Rob Wiebe passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the Health Science Centre at the age of 60 years.
Rob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dora; children Scott, Sarah (Chase), Kristi (Jason) and Lisa (Steve); granddaughter Aubrey; parents Barney and Tina Wiebe; sister Bonnie (Brian) Ginter; nephew Tyler and niece Caitlyn. He will also be remembered by the Hofer Family and many friends.
Dad was raised in MacGregor, Manitoba and spent most of his childhood and teenage years there. He enjoyed playing various sports and spent a lot of time outside on his family farm. Dad met Mom at a church event in Brandon, he often reminded us that she was the prettiest women he’s ever seen. A big part of dads life was sports, from following his kids around the province to watching the Jets & Blue Bombers from the comfort of his own home. Dad recently flew out to New Orleans last November and enjoyed quality time with his daughter Lisa, & Steve where they reside. Dad also looked forward to the times where his daughter Kristi flew to Manitoba from Edmonton to visit. Dad loved his children, and we will forever be grateful of the memories we have of our amazing father. This past year, Dad was given something that he has never received before, his precious granddaughter Aubrey. She was his pride and joy. We will always remember Dads loving, gentle, kind, and patient personality. We love you Dad. We will see you again.
Viewing and slideshow will take place at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 10 am to 4 pm. A private family burial will take place at Austin Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Rob’s memory to the Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3.
