Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Richard Schmid. Bob passed away at home peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane, his 2 children: Paul and Darlene, and his grandchildren: Krystal and Brock.
Bob grew up in Vancouver where he met his wife, Diane. He studied classical piano, and became an accomplished pianist. The couple moved to Penticton where he took a career as first a Court Reporter, then later, a Crown Witness Manager. Indeed, he received an award for his many years of service from the government upon his retirement.
Bob was a devout Catholic and avid fisherman. All who knew Bob described him as a non-judgmental, quiet, kind-hearted man who always saw the best in everybody.
He will be very missed and always loved.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions the family will be having a private Funeral Mass.
