Robert (Bob) Bailey Perry, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail of 58 years. He is also survived by his four children; Robert (Wilma), Donald, Wanita, and Kathleen; four granddaughters, Brittany, Jodene (Joseph), Andrea, Sophia; four great-grandchildren, Jaeda-Lynn, Jullien, Jordynn and Jamie. Bob is also survived by one sister, Illene, and three brothers; David (June), Lorne (Bonnie) and Clifford (Mary-Anne) and numerous extended family members. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Agnes; five brothers and one sister, Sam, Don, Wes, Billy, Gilbert and Gertrude. He was born in Winnipeg on October 8, 1939, and raised in Winnipeg where he met his wife Gail. Bob always had a interest in trains and was always wearing a train engineer hat and lived near the railway. Bob was also known as the candyman for his cotton candy and was a people person who enjoyed his coffee and a visit. Bob’s wish was to be silently remembered. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Bob’s name may be made directly to the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta, c/o Halo Endowment Fund, #104, 430 – 6 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 2S8.
