Obituary
Henderson, Robert Paul
September 13th, 1956 – June 12, 2020 (63 years old)
It is with great sadness the family of Robert Paul Henderson announce his passing. Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by an incredible amount of love, after his short but courageous battle with Cancer. If love could have kept him alive, he surely would have lived forever.
Paul had a passion for people, and a zest for life. He was extremely outgoing, known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and his kind heart. He was an avid hockey fan, who loved sailing, skiing, snowmobiling, and above all else was a loving partner, proud father and cat dad to his precious “Titten” (Scoot).
Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Evelyn Henderson (nee Jenkins), Paul will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and partner Karen Button, his daughters, Ashley Wright (Jordan), and Tiffany Henderson (Adam Saunders) and his dear friends and extended family, Barb and Lester Porter, Gerard Ryan, Roxanne Morgan, Robin Laing and the entire Laing family, John and Betty Lynch, Wayne and Elaine Walters, Bob and Cathy Pike, Geoff Davis, Peg Earle, Keith Mercer, Bob and Brenda Bursey, Paula and Darren Blundon, Tom Henderson, Judy Tremblett-Henderson and his work family at Academy Canada, to name a few.
Also leaving to mourn are Karen’s family, who loved him like their own; Beatrice Button, Craig Button, Sofia Sabo, Holly and Matt Walker, and their “three little ones” Zara, Dylan and Heath, Andrew Bennett, Lorna and Marv Weibe, and Brandon Button.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to his team of doctors that provided care along the way, especially Dr. Kara Laing, and Dr. Jehan Siddiqui.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no public funeral or visitation. Cremation has been entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at a later date while memorial donations in Paul’s name can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Family and friends are welcomed to leave a message and share stories to honour Paul’s life and sign the memorial guest book on Barrett’s Funeral Home website at www.barretts.ca.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Robert Paul Henderson 2020..
