Obituary for
Robert Lionel Kidd
In the early hours of Sunday, January 12, 2020, Robert Lionel Kidd of Mayerthorpe, AB passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years. Left with their memories are his daughters, Joanne (Dan) Soroka of Mayerthorpe, Linda Adam of Calgary, son-in-law; Tali Hughes of Stony Plain; grandchildren, Chris (Pam) Soroka, Jennifer (Brent) VanKleek, Tali (Kim) Hughes, Tricia (Wally) Mott, Treena (Gradey) McMahon, Angela (Wade) Martineau, Katherine (Taylor Thiessen) Adam; fourteen great-grandchildren who brought him joy, Mariah, Ashlyn, Katie, Teag, Joel, Jake, Ryley, Avrie, Elyse, Tessa, Kassy, Kayley, Coltyn, Chase and Blais; brothers, Bruce (Bonnie), Ron (Judy); special friend, Alberta Bannister; many extended family and dear friends.
Predeceased by his wife, Edna (2006); son, Jim (1981); daughter, Dianne (2005); sons-in-law, Ken and Bill; parents, Lionel and Annie; sister, Gertrude; and sister-in-law, Betty.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion, 5111 – 45 Avenue, Mayerthorpe with Reverend Ruth Lotholz officiating. A private inurnment in Mayerthorpe Cemetery will be held at a later date.
