Robert James Hunger
1943-2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Robert “Bob” James Hunger on September 24, 2020.
Born on May 21, 1943, in Arcadia Wisconsin, to the late Lloyd and
Esther (Kotlarz) Hunger and was the beloved husband of Sharon (Wiener)
Hunger.
Bob received his Master’s in mathematics and
started working as a math and Spanish teacher at High school level. He
taught for 7 years. When Bob moved to another career path, he did
computer work for Unisys and did this for 36 years. He also spent some
of his spare time volunteering at various charities, tutoring some of
the Syrian refugees, being an active member on many boards and he was
a Lay Franciscan. Also Bob was never found too far from his loving
wife Sharon, the two were usually together and inseparable. They loved
to travel and had adventured to many places together. It is no
surprise that the most common words used to describe Bob are generous
and kind.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Sharon; children Cara
Lyn Churchill (Bradley) and Kristin Ann Hunger (Ian Frame);
grandchildren Nicholas, Corey, April, Jill and Erika; sister Betty
Kryzer (George); his sister and brother- in-law, who were just like
his own siblings, Shirley Haseman and David Wiener; his cat companion
Max, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a sister
Diane Breza.
By request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will
be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Monday, October
5, 2020 at 11 am. Due to COVID-19 protocols and
