Obituary
CHALMERS, ROBERT – After a short battle with cancer, Robert (Rob) George Chalmers, at the age of 56 passed away peacefully at St. Josephs Hospice on Saturday, March 21, 2020 with his loving family by his side. He was the loving son of the late Robert (2019) and Meredith (Foubister) (2006) Chalmers. He is survived by his sisters Dianne Gilbert (Doug) of Sarnia, Darlene Gilbert (Bill Thrower) of Watford and Linda Taylor (Dwayne) of Sarnia. He was the dear uncle of Ruthann, Kevin and Shawn Lumley, Kortnee Smith, Jillian Lumley-Gilbert, Chris and Ron Scott, Rob and Justin Taylor. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother in law Donald Gilbert (2003). At Rob’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Charitable donations made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph’s Hospice would be appreciated.
