Robert’s Obituary
ASHBY, Robert George Arnold – 84, of Doctor’s Cove, passed away on May 25, 2020 at the Roseway Hospital. Born in Meaford, Ontario on December 7, 1935, he was a son of the late Robert and Nettie (Hops) Ashby. Robert is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Doris (Glass); son, Robert (Sandra) Ashby; daughters, Deborah Slaney and Diane Langston; grandchildren, Carl, Benjamin, John, James and Jack. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Gwen. Robert drove truck for Esso for several years. He worked at Wilson’s Home Hardware starting in the pluming department and eventually promoted to manager. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of your choice.
