Robert’s Obituary
Robert Henry Davies
January 9,1932-April 26,2020
Bob passed peacefully at Fairview Manor, on Sunday April 26,2020 at the age of 88. Survived by his wife Lori (Nichols) and ex-wife Norma, children Susan (Blair Scharfe), Kim, Jeffrey (Lori Cavanagh), Peter (Eileen Muldoon)and sister Barbara. Predeceased by parents Trevor and Janet, brothers Donnie, John, Billy, Teddy, Gordon and sister Marion. He was a proud Grandfather to Stephanie, Lisa, Jordan, Robert, Jennifer, Samantha, Patrick, Jackson and Shea, and great-grandfather to 11.
Bob grew up in a small 3 bedroomhome in Sandy Hill with his parents and seven siblings. He left home at an early age to work at a localarchitect’s office, where he was given the opportunity to learn from some of Ottawa’s best. He later used this knowledge andskill to become a well-knownand sought-after home designer in the Ottawa area.
His passion for design was outweighed only by his love for golf, both of which he passed on to his children and grandchildren (and of course anyone who had time for a swing lesson). He loved to coach hockey. Whether it was for his own children or not, he took the time to help out and provide guidance for many others. He seldom missed a hockey game when his grandkids were on the ice.
He will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him. As soon as pandemic restrictions are lifted, the family will gather to celebrate his life.
We would like to thank the staff at Fairview Manor for the excellent care he received in these hard times when his family was unable to be with him.
