Robert Calvin Jokela – 81, Londonderry, Colchester Co.
On April 30, 2020, Robert Calvin Jokela died from cancer at his home in Londonderry, N.S. He was 81 years old. He was the son of Eino Jokela who came from Finland and Grace (Miller) from Lindsay Lake. Being the oldest of the family, he had three sisters: Olla, from Kingston, Ontario, Barbara from Ohio, and Wilma from Halifax. He had two nieces, Shelley and Heather. He was predeceased by a sister Eva, and brothers Bernard and Johnny. Robert was survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Jean (Fulton) of 56 years, his sons and their wives, Stephen and Maureen from Saskatoon, Timothy and Coral from Calgary, Benjamin and Melanie from Moncton. There are four grandchildren, Kael from B.C., Ethan from Calgary, Kian and Elisa from Moncton. They were his joy. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was hard-working, inventive, and intelligent, a very kind man, loved by all who knew him. He loved to tell stories and make us laugh. We will miss him. Special thanks to the Red Cross and the V.O.N. nurses. Their help was invaluable. Arrangements are under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
