Robert (Bobby) Andrew Eldridge
1955-2020
Bobby passed away after a short illness at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on December 8, 2020 at the age of 65. Born in Saint John, NB, Bobby was the much loved son of the late John Bryson and Mary Louise (nee Owens) Eldridge.
Bobby is survived by sisters, Anne Cole (David) and Katherine Furness (Ralph); brothers, Bryson, William and Gerry (Susan) and his aunt, Jean Marry and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bobby was predeceased by several aunts and uncles and his sister-in-law Trina (nee O’Neill).
Bobby had many challenges during his life, but he lived a full life and was able to put smiles on the faces of the people he met.
For the majority of his life, Bobby resided at the Agape Home in Bloomfield and the Rocmaura Nursing Home. The family thanks the staff of Agape and Rocmaura for their care and compassion they gave Bobby over the years.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic restrictions, no visitation will be held. Private family services will take place at a later date with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations in Bobby’s memory to the Rocmaura Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
