Obituary
Robert “Bob” Giesbrecht of Lethbridge, AB, passed away on April 16, 2020, at Chinook Regional Hospital. He was 76 years old.
Bob was the beloved husband of 54 years to Carol. He was proud father to Tracey (Lino) Giustini of Calgary, and grandfather to Noah and Jonathan Giustini. He also survived by his brother Tom Giesbrecht of Kamloops, BC, nephew Bruce (Nancy) Fetterly of Winnipeg, MB, Jane (Peter) Bill of Canmore, AB. Sister-in -law Bonnie (Ed) Roe of San Diego. Nieces Kristie (Albert) Silva, and Caryn Roe of San Diego, as well as extended family and his many friends.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Sadie (ne; Jansen) and David Giesbrecht, his sister Patricia Fetterly and brother-in -law Ray Fetterly
Bob was born in Altona, Manitoba, in 1943. The family moved to Winnipeg from their farm when Bob was a child. After marrying Carol and having their daughter Tracey, they came to Lethbridge in 1976, as he became Branch Manager of Canada Trust. Bob had an extensive knowledge and love for finance, which lead him to working as the Administrator of the Lethbridge Health Unit.
He enjoyed serving and volunteering on countless committees over the years. Bob was an avid golfer and belonged to the Lethbridge Country Club.
The source of his greatest joy was when his grandsons were born. He was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments and the fine men they have become.
