Robert “Bob” Edward Meikle
Robert “Bob” E.
Meikle, 82, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on
Saturday, February 29, 2020.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, he
was the son of the late Ernie and Mary (Hutchings)
Meikle.
Bob was retired from the
Federal Government (Service Canada). He enjoyed sailing, walking his
dog, Sydney, was a former member of the Rothesay Yacht Club and
spending his winters in Florida.
Bob and his “love”
Bonnie travelled many times throughout the New England States, cruised
the Mediterranean where Bob particularly enjoyed seeing the Sistine
Chapel. He loved Sunday drives and exploring the
countryside.
Bob will be sadly missed by
his wife, Bonita “Bonnie” (Green) Meikle of Moncton; son,
Phil Meikle; stepson, Brendan Green; special granddaughter, Isabelle
and grandson, Lucas; sister, Sandra Murphy (Don), as well as several
nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by brothers, Bill Meikle and John Wayne
Meikle.
In keeping with
Bob’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral
service. Interment will be in the family plot at Heatherdale Memorial
Gardens, Westville, NS at a later date.
Arrangements under the
professional care and guidance of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995).
