With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Aspell, age 72, of Admirals Cove.
Robert loved to be in the woods, setting snares and cutting wood; he loved to fish and spend time on the water; he was a skilled carpenter and boat builder. He was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. He enjoyed tending to his chickens and garden, and will be missed by his beloved cat, Pep.
Robert leaves to mourn his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra (nee Hayden), daughters Penny (Michael) O’Brien, Tammy (Peter) Williams, and Peggy (Ian) Lawlor; his adored grandchildren Kaitlyn Aspell (Warren Ryan), Tyler Williams (Rikki Whelan), Shannon O’Brien (Alex Coombs), Colin Williams, Michael O’Brien, Sage Lawlor, and Quin Lawlor; his precious great-grandchildren Mason Aspell and Tiana Williams; his brothers Edward (Viola), Martin (Bernadette), Francis (Shirley), and Randy (Barb); his sisters Shirley Kenny, Linda (Les) Clowe, Marie (Kevin) Guiney, Rosie Aspell, Margie (Peter) Melvin, and Chrissie (Danny) Ledwell; brothers- and sisters-in-law Debbie Hayden, Kippy (Michelle) Hayden, Kurt Hayden, Tammy Carew (Wayne Croft), Bonnie (Perry) Gibbons, Mickey (Sonya) Hyden, and Sharon Hayden; treasured nephew Lee (Mary Lynn) Aspell; a large circle of nieces and nephews; longtime friends Randy Hawkins, Brian Hawkins, and Wayde Young. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Robert Aspell, Sr.; mother-in-law Florence Hayden and father-in-law Lawrence Hayden; sisters Catherine (Iggy) Hawkins, and Anna (Petie) Boland; brothers-in-law Dougie Carew, Karl Hayden, Russell Hayden, Wayne Hayden, Clyde Hayden, and Allan Croft.
Cremation has taken place. As per Robert’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
