Peacefully at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, on Saturday, January 11, 2020,
Robert Alois Van Acker of Ingersoll, surrounded by the love of his family at
the age of 73 years. Loving husband for 35 years to his wife Penny. Proud
father and grandfather to Laurie Deutsch and her husband Frank, and
their children Lucas and Yvonne; Teresa Ward and her husband Terry, and
their children Taryn and Lindsey. Loving uncle to Michael Van Acker and
his wife Kim. Brother-in-law to Claudette Van Acker. Predeceased by his
parents Henry Van Acker (2002) and Yvonne Van Acker (nee Deaseure
(2017), and brother Danny Van Acker (2014). Bob loved getting away to
the family cabin and was very passionate about his golf. In keeping with
Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held
at the Tillsonburg Royal Canadian Legion, 16 Durham St., Tillsonburg on
Friday, January 17, 2020 from 11:00 a.m – 2:00 pm. Memorial donations to
the VON-Sakura House, Woodstock would be appreciated by the Van
Acker family and may be made by contacting OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL
HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have
been entrusted with Bob’s arrangements.
