There will be a Funeral Service for Rita Francis Hannam at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 at 3pm for anyone wishing to attend, due to the limited seating please contact the RC Church to add you name to the contact tracing sheet. A Graveside Prayer will follow at Star of the Sea Cemetery, Jean de Baie.
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late RITA FRANCIS HANNAM of Jean de Baie announces her passing. Rita passed away at her home in Jean de Baie on Thursday, April 9 th , 2020 at the age of 85.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her; sons, Gerard (Marie) of Deer Park, Washington, Anthony (Trudy) of Marystown, Patrick of Jean de Baie, Michael (Tina) of Marystown, Richard (Alice) of Jean de Baie, and Ronald (Deborah) of Marystown; daughters, Roberta Moore (James) of Placentia, Glenda Hannam of Edmonton, AB, and Geraldine Dobbin (Phonse) of Jean de Baie; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Walsh of St. Mary’s; sister’-in-law, Irene Bonia of St. Mary’s, Bridget Stewart of Marystown, Sheila Hannam of Nova Scotia, and Anna Hannam of Nova Scotia; brother-in-law, Roche Hannam of Marystown; plus a large circle of family and friends.
Rita was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Hannam; a baby boy and a baby girl; her parents, Peter and Francis Bonia, and brothers and sisters.
Due to the current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 a funeral mass will take place at a later time.
In Rita’s memory donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation. None
