Rita Daigle
1927-2020
POINTE-SAPIN, NB – Rita Daigle 92, of Pointe-Sapin
passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on
Saturday, February 29, 2020. Born in Saint John, she was the
daughter of the late Camille Daigle and late Henriette (Bastarache)
Daigle.
Rita will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Amanda
Mazerolle (Yvon) of Pointe-Sapin, Sylvia Daigle (Randy) of Moncton,
Marie Ella Allain (Bernard) of St. Maurice; three sons, Esmond Daigle
(Lucienne) of Rogersville, Sylvio Daigle (Geralda) of Pointe-Sapin,
Camille Ernest Daigle (Norma) of Pointe-Sapin; one daughter-in-law,
Annette Daigle of Pointe-Sapin; fifteen grandchildren and thirty-one
great grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Léda Comeau
(Frank) of Miramichi, Agnes Mallet (late Rodrigue) of Shippagan,
Laurianna Parsons (late Bill) of Burlington, ON,
Thérèse Caissie (André) of Moncton;
and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Arthur Daigle; one son, Georgie; one daughter; Adelma; one
granddaughter, Nadine; one great grandson, Maxendre; one sister,
Regina and two brothers, Marcel and Ernest.
Visitation will be held at the Pointe-Sapin Community Center
on Wednesday from 7-9 pm, Thursday from noon until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday,
March 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic
Church, Pointe-Sapin. Donations in Rita’s memory
may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church or charity
of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the
family. The family wish to express a sincere thank you to
Dr. Josette Vautour and the staff at the Villa Maria for their kind
and compassionate care of Rita during her
stay.
