Born in Moncton, New Brunswick on August 2, 1926, Rita Boulter came to Tillsonburg at the age of 25 years. She worked at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Rita was a proud member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Woodstock. Her church was her family away from family. Rita passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Fergus, Ontario at the age of 93 years. Rita was predeceased by her husband Les (1988). Loving mother to her daughter Gloria Smith and Grandmother to Christine Smith, and Cindy Smith (Jeff Hillis). Sister to Doris Morell and Alyre Meunier. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her parents Emile and Rose Meunier, sister Geneva Bari and her husband Louis, brothers Arth, Roger, Reg, and Emery Meunier, and son-in-law Wayne McLachlan. A private family funeral will be held at a later date. Private family interment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by Rita’s family and can be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with arrangements. Friends and relatives are invited to show their support by sending special heartfelt tributes, and hugs from home in memory of Rita to www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com.
