January 28, 1940 – December 04, 2020

It is with heavy hearts and infinite sorrow that we announce the passing of Rita Adele Letto (Byrne) on December 4, 2020 at Glenbrook Lodge in St. John’s.
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is predeceased by parents James and Margaret Byrne and brother Cecil.
Left with beautiful and cherished memories her loving husband, Harrison. Sons Darren (Sheila), Dean (Kristen), and Jody (Dana). Grandchildren Ryan, Benjamin, Mitchell, Ally, Christian, Cole, and Brooklyn. Also left to mourn brothers Ray and Aiden (Loretta) and sister Genevieve ton (Philip-deceased). She also leaves behind a large number of nieces and nephews whom she loved very dearly.
Rita was a strong, opinionated, independent, smart, loving and caring woman. She has left behind an abundance of memories that will be forever cherished by her family and close friends.
Following Rita’s wishes, Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
A sincere thank you to the staff at Glenbrook Lodge for making her last days comfortable for both her and the family around her.
In lieu of flowers donations may be gratefully directed to Glenbrook Lodge in her memory.
