Rickey Armand Blanchard
1962-2019
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on December 31,
2019, Rickey Armand Blanchard, husband of Marilyn (Higgins) Blanchard
of Pennfield NB. Born at Kent County NB on December 2, 1962 he was a
son of Rita R. (Williston) Blanchard and the late Armand
Blanchard.
A loving husband, son, father, grandfather and brother, he is
survived by his wife Marilyn, his son; Joseph of Hamilton ON,
granddaughter; Karma Divine Marie of Pennfield NB, grandson; Kain
Joseph his mother; Rita Blanchard of St. Andrews NB, brothers: Sonny
(Muriel) Kinsella of Moncton NB, Andy (Debbie) Blanchard of St. George
NB, Donald Blanchard of Alberta and Wesley Blanchard of St. George,
sisters: Joan (Clint) Hicks of Saint John NB, Sandra (Terry) Justason
of Pennfield NB, , Sharon (Bobby) Daigle of Beaver Harbour NB, Cindy
(David) Mc Dougall of Pennfield NB, Diane Dougan (Mark Dion) of Grand
Bay – Westfield NB and Gloria (Darren) Russell of Pennfield NB as well
as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to
his father Armand, he was predeceased by his daughter Dawna Marie
Blanchard, sister; Donna Blanchard and father and mother in law; Joe
and Evangeline Higgins.
Prior to his illness, Rickey worked a number of years for Connors
Brothers in Blacks Harbour. His main passion was working on cars and
tinkering with engines. He recently began learning guitar. He also
enjoyed spending time with his loyal companion LG and the company of
family and friends. He will be sadly missed.
Resting at Christ Church (Anglican) in Pennfield NB from where the
service will be held on Monday, January 6 at 2 pm with Archdeacon
Keith Osborne officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery in
the spring. Visiting at the church on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2-5
pm. In Rickey’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer
Society or a charity of the donors choice will be appreciated by the
family.
