Obituary of Rick Beaney
Peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at Grey Bruce Health Services, In Owen Sound. Richard “Rick” Wayne Beaney, on June 30, 2020 at the age of 66.
Missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Kerry Ann (nee Miner). Loved father of Michele (Rob) Wunsche, Jason (Julie) Beaney and Tracy (Adam) Smyth. Proud papa of Emily, Abbigail, Jake, Zachary, Grace and Easton. Dear son of Eleanor Beaney (late Wayne), son-in-law of Orville and Lillian Miner. Brother of Ken (Brenda), Sharon (Kim) and Mark (Verna). Rick will also be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Rick is well known for his many years on city council and his time as the city of Owen Sound Mayor. Rick was also a proud employee for the Bluewater School Board for over 35 years, where his kind and jovial nature is remembered by many school kids.
A private family graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on July 9, 2020, with Kristal McGee officiating. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
