Obituary of Richard Victor Osmond
April 23, 1952 – September 13, 2020
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Richard “Rick” Victor Osmond from lung cancer. As a previous cancer survivor everyone knows he was fighter right till the end. He was born to Ron and Mary in New Westminster but was raised in Maple Ridge his whole life until his big move to Pitt Meadows. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Starla, daughter Kelsey (Gord), father Ron (Davina), sister Debbie (Blaine), aunt Sharon (predeceased by uncle Albert), niece Carly (Richard), nephew Kyle (Melissa), great nephew and niece Ethan and Olivia, and all of his in-laws on Gabriola Island and in England.
Rick was one of a kind, with his big laugh and love for his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, hiking, washing cars, Disneyland, working out/visiting at the gym and most of all spending time with his loved ones. He is so missed by all that had the great pleasure of knowing him.
Our family would like to thank the amazing staff of the ICU at Ridge Meadows Hospital for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the BC Cancer Foundation, the Terry Fox Foundation or any organization that is fighting for a cure for this horrible disease.
There will be no service at this time but we hope to have a celebration of his life sometime in the future. Please raise a toast of Rye and Pepsi to the man we loved so much.
