We regret to announce the peaceful death of Richard Mikasko at the age of 70, on Friday, December 4, 2020. Ric enjoyed fishing, riding his ATV, playing his guitar and singing. He was an enthusiast of automobiles of all kinds who owned more than 50 cars in his lifetime. He is survived by his wife Patsy, his daughters: Becki-Rae Mikasko (Donald Turgeon) of Kapuskasing and Keri-Lee Mikasko (Kayne Hopkins) of Iroquois Falls; one step-daughter, Shannon Toane (Glen Smith) of Vancouver; one granddaughter, Kansas; as well as his siblings: Helen Duckett (Roger) of Cold Lake and Maureen Hastie of Vimy; one sister-in-law, Joanne Mikasko of Sherwood Park; as well as his best friend Bowie. He was predeceased by his parents, Viola and Stanley; and one brother, Larry. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©

Ric aimait faire de la pêche, des promenades en VTT, jouer de sa guitare et chanter. Un enthousiaste d’autos de toutes sortes, il s’était procuré plus de cinquante voitures pendant sa vie. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Patsy; deux filles : Becki-Rae Mikasko (Donald Turgeon) de Kapuskasing et Keri-Lee Mikasko (Kayne Hopkins) d’Iroquois Falls; une belle-fille : Shannon Toane (Glen Smith) de Vancouver; une petite-fille : Kansas; ainsi que deux sœurs : Helen Duckett (Roger) de Cold Lake et Maureen Hastie de Vimy; une belle-sœur : Joanne Mikasko de Sherwood Park; ainsi que son meilleur ami Bowie.
Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Viola et Stanley; et un frère, Larry. Une célébration de la vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer ou au Hospital for Sick Children. ©
