Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health
Centre, Guelph, on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 74
years.
Remembered lovingly by his daughter Barbara
Powers-Anderson of Guelph whom he was reunited with over 25 years ago
after placing her up for adoption to give her a life he
couldn’t at a young age, and by his son-in-law, friend
Morgan Anderson and his grandchildren, Mason Anderson and Miranda
Chartrand (Daniel Henkel) of Toronto. Loved by his siblings
Patricia Wilson (late Gary), Marjorie Bowker (late Jim), Gloria
Aubertin (Harvey), Sharon Gogischwili (Charlie), Mary Jacobs
(Gary), Ralph Good (Patti) and many nieces and
nephews. Richard will also be remembered by
his friends at UPS where he worked for many
years.
Special thank you to the staff at both Juravinski Hospital
and Saint Joseph’s Heath Centre in Guelph
especially to Chaplain Simon Malonda for supporting Richard during his
stay at St. Joe’s, to his friend Tom Leyland for arranging
UPS friends to come and see Richard, to Suzanne Dougan for your help
and support and to Charlie and Sharon Gogischwili for their extra
support.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held
at a later date.
