Richard Alden Bristo Sunday November 29th 2020

At the age of 73 years passed peacefully with his loving wife of over 50 years at his side. Richard’s desire was to share God’s love and joy while delighting in the places that his journey through life took him. Born in Brantford, Ontario to the late Alden and Velma (nee Bowerman) Bristo. Richard was ever the adventure seeker, he was a pioneer at ice road trucking and later at helicopter logging before God’s call led him into Ministry. He was a Pastor for 38 years in Churches from the West coast on Vancouver Island to Medicine Hat and Edmonton, Alberta to the East coast on Nova Scotia’s South and Bow Islands. After retiring, Richard discovered the joy of cruising with Susan to many countries across both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. “Well, I’ve never been here before!” was frequently on his lips. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Susan (nee Elliott), son Matthew Bristo of Vancouver, BC and daughter Mavis Aubichon of Cumberland, BC, grandchildren Brody and Ayrienna MacGregor and Jaden Aubichon. Brother-in-law of Tom Elliott and family. He is also survived by his brother Dudley (Carolyn) Bristo, Joy (Don) Archer, nephews Kerry (Marion) Bristo, Shawn, Matthew and Tyrone Bristo and nieces Sharleen (Richard) Gatecliffe and LoriAnne (Ted) Dier, all of Ontario. He was predeceased by his brother David (Linda), Charles (in infancy) and his grandson Jade. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rawdon Street Baptist Church would be appreciated.
