Hanley; Donna R., 72, of Mersey Point, Queens County passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
Born in Liverpool on February 12, 1948, Donna was a daughter of the late Jack and Erma (Whynot) Orme.
In her early years, Donna worked for the Queens County Dairy and Emeneau’s Pharmacy in Liverpool. Following her work at the pharmacy, Donna took a teller placement with the Bank of Nova Scotia, Liverpool where she retired from in 2003 after twenty five years. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and especially SHOPPING. She cherished cuddle time with her “grand babies”.
Donna is survived by her husband of 46 years Stephen (51 years together); her sister Jacqueline (Richard) Crowell of Conquerall Mills, her brother Scott (Nicole) Orme of Liverpool and her sister in law Belinda Orme of Milton.
Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother Jeffrey.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Liverpool United Baptist Cemetery. Please be mindful that, due to COVID-19, physical distancing rules are still in place. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
