MACKEY Rev. Thomas Lorne, O.M.I.,– passed away on August 14, 2020 at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver BC. Fr. Mackey was born February 18, 1929 in Iroquois Falls ON. He was ordained to the Priesthood in the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate June 9, 1956 in Ottawa ON. Fr. Mackey is survived by two nieces, Maureen Mackey and Frances (Mike) Sander (son Kevin), two nephews, Michael Sheridan and Patrick Sheridan (Zahra) and their children, Dylan & Marissa, all of Ottawa ON. He is predeceased by his parents, Emmett Mackey of Sturgeon Falls ON and Hazel Coleman of Arnprior ON; one brother, Terry Mackey (Christine) & son, Daniel; and one sister, Helen (John) Sheridan, both of Ottawa.
Services: Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 20th at 10:00 am at St. Augustine’s Parish, 2028 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver BC. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic attendees will be limited to the Oblate family and invited guests only. The service will be live-streamed, which may be accessed through the St. Augustine’s website on Facebook.
