It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the age of 94 years. Loving husband of the late Thérèse Prévost. Predeceased by his parents Delphis and Célina. Loving father of Gérald (Marilyn), Juliette Fellbaum (Paul), and Françoise Martin-Winchester (Keith). Cherished grandfather of Renée (Doug), Anthony (Pamela), Krista (Marcel), Sean (Jennifer), Robert (predeceased), Heather (Andy), Lori and great grandchildren, Abigail, Evelyn, Mathieu, Charlie, Nola, Veronica and Ethan. Sadly missed by his special friend Marie Raymond. Dearly missed by his brother Jean. Predeceased by his siblings Albina Girard, Napoléon, Germaine Nadeau, Bertha Nadeau, Henri (died at birth), Henri II, Armand, Malvina, Irène Paquette, Aurèle, Valentine Forget, Thérèse Carrière and Aimé. He will be remembered fondly by his extended family and friends. René was born in French River, Ontario. He and his family lived in Minnow Lake for many years. René worked as a plateworker at INCO for 32 years. René and Thérèse enjoyed music, travelling and spending time at French River. He loved playing the violin with his friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Red Oak Villa and St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre for their compassionate and kind care. Due to current restrictions of group gatherings, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements at The COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
